OUR EMOTION POEMS
Loneliness
Loneliness is purple
like the colour of the solitary last violet to die before winter.
It tastes of the
bitter tears of a child’s broken heart.
It smells of the scent
of your shame and fear.
It looks like a
deserted city long since abandoned.
It sounds like the
repeating footsteps of someone trapped in a deadly maze.
It feels like having a
birthday party but only you show up.
Joy
Joy
is yellow bright and vibrant like the sun.
It
tastes like the super juicy sweetness of strawberries
It smells like
the sweet
purple roses and freshly mown grass.
It looks like a happy summer
festival under the vibrant sun.
It sounds like twinkling bells in a
meadow of forget me not’s.
It feels like sand running between
your fingertips.
Trust
Trust is blue like the lapping waves of the
vast sea, calm rhythmic and reassuring.
It tastes like chilled water, satisfying
droplets of purity.
It smells like mints, bursts of vibrancy and
refreshment.
It looks like coils of metal chains, strong
and forever lasting.
It sounds like a waterfall, empowering but
peaceful.
It feels like a silky mink blanket, cocooning
and protecting. A sense of security.

NETBOOKS!
We were super lucky that a really nice man donated us some money for new computers! We now have a computer suite with 8 computers in. And each class room has 4 laptops and we also have 16 brand new net books that we share with all the classrooms. That means that we can all be on a computer in our classroom at the same time.
Miss Ayrton and Room Three think this is pretty cool! :)

WEEK THREE
Hi
We have had a busy week in Room Three. We have been working on our atlas and dictionary skills. We have been learning how to use an atlas properly and put things in alphabetical order and so on. In maths we have been looking at perimeter, area and volume of different shapes. In reading we have looking at finding the meaning of unknown words and locating facts within a text. We have read some interesting articles on Jean Batten and the man who invited pain killers! On Friday night we had a school disco in the hall. We had quite a few children come from other schools and we had games, sold drinks, chocolates and chippies and we made $297.00 for our school camp!!!
See you next week!!
Miss Ayrton :)
